This thing is really challenging my willpower, I saw it in the catalogue last week and it looks great but I'm saving for a house and can't spent the
money right now. I hope it returns to the shelves in a year or so

Yeah. 500 smackers is a bit to handle and I doubt I would actually make productive use of it. Besides, if I was really keen I could access one at
work. I haven't done so. I guess I am not that keen.
But it is amazing how much they have dropped in price and increased in quality over the years. Maybe another time. The think about Aldi and this
kind of stuff is that they will do it again in 12 months time and probably drop the price a bit then.
Out of interest, how did you stumble upon this bit of information from the other side of the globe?

It came up in my YouTube 'Recommended'
and I have more time than mobility at the moment ...
I only posted it to taunt you
If Aldi here had the same offer it would tempt me
... but not enough to splash the cash.
but ......

Aldi sells the randomest of things (usually at phenomenal prices!). I wonder if they do a similar thing in the states
Though, I'm surprised they didn't go with something cheaper, like in the $200-300 range, since it seems like usually their center racks are geared
toward impulse-buy.

Seems to be better if you just use a print and deliver service online...the spools of plastic are $40 and only last you a few last prints. Also the
quality of the print, I'm unsure of, but I guess it should be good enough for most uses. However, the price is rather reasonable compared to the other
standard models, but then again, I have access to an industrial 3D printer one of my friends has at work I could probably just use that
