So I have been researching ways to remove silver nitrate from skin I have a couple stains on my skin
Silver dissolves in sodium cyanide well known
Can it be removed with potassium ferricyanide as this has a cyinide group
Also can I remove the stain with ammonium thiosulfate
Supposidly used for desolving gold

I would try thiosulfate long before CN or ferricyanide! Could use Na or NH4 thiosulfate. Both probably work. Thiosulfate will complex with Ag and make
something soluble. wg48 - 13-2-2017 at 10:08

In silver halide photography thiosulphate is used to remove silver halide via a complex leaving the grains of silver untouched. From memory to remove
the silver with thiosulphate it had to be oxidised first to a halide.DraconicAcid - 13-2-2017 at 10:16
The stains will wear off by themselves. The outer layers of your skin are constantly being sloughed off and replaced, and the stained ones will be
gone in a week or so. No sense trying to scrub it off with cyanide when all you have to do is wait. Chlorine - 13-2-2017 at 10:58

This is your best option, unless you have a job interview or a major event within the next 5 days, I'd just wait.symboom - 13-2-2017 at 14:23
