Quercetin

I have a stock of a flavonoid Quercetine which is a yellow powder barely soluble in water but soluble in other solvents such as alcohol and apparenlty a basic solution. I found that it can take up Copper (2) ions and release them and this seems to be documented. Sorry I am new to this forum, I was wondering if this could be used instead of the Bordeaux solution (basic copper solution) for the control of Tomato and Potato Blight for which the Bordeaux solution acts as a pesticide by releasing copper ? Quercetine although a natural product (extracted from the bark of some trees) is marked as a mutagen (It certainly acts as an inhibitor of some enzymes such as Bovine Heart L Malate Dehydrogenase (competing with NADH) ).
