I could not come up with a better title for this list

But these are solvents that are soluble in water that can be used to precipitate a compound from an aquous solution

Insoluble in
Methanol
Calcium acetate
Ammonium bicarbonate

Insoluble in
Ethanol
Copper sulfate
Lithium sulfate
Sodium sulfate
Potassium sulfate
Ammonium sulfate

Insoluble in
Isopropanol
Sodium chloride

Insouble in
Acetone

Insouble in
Ethyl acetate
Copper nitrate

Help make a list

If you add isopropanol to aqueous NaCl solution I think you'll get isopropanol floating on the salt solution.

Salt is used to remove water from 2-propanol by separating it as brine.
