Hello guys, please I need help, but I dont want to know the answer, but only how should I do it.
How should I count this:
I have mixture of p- xylene 39,5% (molar) and toluene 60,5%
antoines equation for toluene is log10(p)=4.0783-1343.9429/(T-53.7731)
and for xylene is log10(p)=4.1114-1450.6885/(T-58.1617)
and I need boiling poit of this mixture (ideal gas), and I should count it numericaly (maybe by cart of function, interval halving or somehow by
derivations?)
there is no need to do it do it precisely, only about 2decimal places

Use the Antoine eqn to find the vapor pressure of each component at a given temperature. Use Raoult's law to find the partial pressure of each
component at that temperature. Add the two partial pressures. The bp will be the temperature where the addition = 1 atm.
