How to neutralize excess m-nitrobenzene sulfonic acid sodium salt used in gold stripper after the gold has been removed from the substrate?

As for the question itself, acids are typicly neutralized with a basic solution(duh!) such as sodium hydroxide or sodium bicarbonate.
