Hi everyone, I've uploaded a new video to my youtube channel.
In this video, I am making ethyl acetate by esterification of ethanol and acetic acid.
The process divided into 4 steps
1. Catalysis of the reactants.
2. Reflux.
3. Simple Distillation
4. Purification.
a: washing in the basic solution
b: drying with water desiccant
c: final distillation

At the end of the process, I obtained 130 ml of pure ethyl acetate
this represents 75% yield. (All calculations are rounded)

I will need ethyl acetate for decaffeination of coffee beans in my next video.

Thanks for watching my videos.

Watched the video and gave it a 'like'.

Please give the written material a bit more screen time as i had to pause it a lot to actually read it.

Personally i'd prefer you talking on the video instead of that, er, 'music', but that's just my personal preference.

aga thank you, I appreciate it.
I thought about extending the screen text time, but I really trying to keep my videos as short as possible. However, I will give it a try on my next video.
Talking in the video does not seem to be an option for me as I have a very strong and very unclear Russian accent, it will just make videos hard to understand.
Thanks for your advice, I do appreciate when people give me a reasonable advises it really helps to improve.

Nice video overall. A minor note, using "ethanoic acid" and "ethyl acetate" throughout the entire video is an inconsistent mixture of classical and systematic IUPAC nomenclature. Either use "acetic acid" or "ethyl ethanoate" instead. Agree with all of aga's points as well.

gdflp thank you. Yes, I totally agree with you regarding the IUPAC.
Thanks for your advice it really helps.

Ruski ! Yop d'vayumite !

Just show the Text and read it out.

A heavy Russian accent would be MUCH better than that music !

If you are lucky, and your accent is strong enough, it will Stand Out on youtube (= a Brand)

aga Haha, well said!
Perhaps I will give it a try at some stage)
