Chlorination Apparatus

I'm a newcomer to organic chemistry and have been unable to find anything online, sorry if my question is basic. I'm looking into chlorinating Benzene to make Chlorobenzene, but am unsure as to how to go about it and how much chlorine to use. Do I just bubble the chlorine gas through the benzene? That seems like a very inefficient process, but if so, how will I know when it is complete in order to avoid making dichlorobenzene? I haven't seen any other thread here in the beginning section about this, sorry if this is a simple question, but that's why this is the beginner thread, right? ;)

Check out the chlorobenzene preparation in the Pentryl publication. It uses TCCA as the chlorine source.

Thank you so much! I hadn't thought of actually using the TCCA directly as a chlorinating agent. This makes things much simpler now that I don't have to mix pool cleaner with Hydrochloric acid. :)
