Baeyer and Villiger, at one time, used TATP as oxidiser for the reaction but the handling of TATP will always be extremely hazardous!
All in all, its use as oxidant shouldn't be considered unless a Darwin Award is a goal...

Yeah, what hissingnoise said. Acetone peroxide will form a trimer called triacetone peroxide (TATP) that is quite unstable and energetic. It's really
not safe to use as a reagent.
