Ammonium Nitrate Mixtures

DDT - 17-6-2016 at 22:17

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to start this new thread on different mixtures involving ammonium nitrate. Hopefully, everyone likes it. I had a mixture in mind as normal tannerite is 95% ammonium nitrate and 5% aluminium. But what if you incorporated nitrocellulose into the mixture: ANNCAL.
Thanks DDT

U should try ammonium nitrate with nitroglycrine
And u can also make ANFO , astroliteg/a etc

DDT - 17-6-2016 at 23:00

Yeah, I know about ANFO and that I was just wondering of anyone had tried mixing nitrocellulose with it.

WAHEXAN

if you have access to NG and NC why should you play with AN?

anyway , if you go to google patent website and search for AN mixtures , you would find all what you need.
good luck

http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=27853 looking here is a good place to start. you will find that
AN and its many mixtures have already been discussed to death in many threads here! The topical compendium has a wealth of references and should be one of the first places to look for topics pertaining to energetic materials discussed on this site. :)

Add your lazy, unreferenced, zero work invested pot stirrer conjectures on extensively discussed subjects to an existing thread, such as:

Or post them in beginnings.

@DDT
Just want to point out that your nickname is less coolish than what you think it is...
I suspect you thought to the second one...right?

DDT = pesticide dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane = Cl-C6H4-CH(-CCl3)-C6H4-Cl

D2DT = Deflagration to detonation transition
