Selling away reagents and glassware

bromobagel - 22-5-2016 at 15:28

Over the last two years, my interests have shifted from O-chem to electronics and optics, and I am about to move to a new city to pursue graduate studies in physics. I'd like to get rid of my chemicals and glassware before I move... in a little more than 1 month (July 1st).

Here is a list of what I have :

Reagents

Glassware

I understand that a hobbyist doesn't always have a lot of money to spend (I certainly dont!) so make me an offer based on what you think it's worth/what you can afford. I'm not looking to make a profit with this, just to give my stuff to someone will use it instead of taking it to hazmat disposal/recycling.

Regarding shipping :
I would very much prefer to ship inside of Canada to avoid customs and hazmat regulations problems... In fact, if people in the Quebec city region want to come pick up stuff from me in person, I'd give them a huge discount :)

Regards,

P.S. Stuff in red has already been sold

What if I sent you an international shipping label from FedEx to ship to the US? You just stick it to the box, and whatever the shipping costs, it's charged to my company account. We can do either FedEx or UPS, whichever is better for you. To make it easier, I'd just ask for stuff that isn't hazardous, so that doesn't come into play. I'd be interested in the DMF (offering $20, since it's $25 with free shipping on eBay), the opened KI ($30, since it's $0.10 a gram from China with free shipping), and the two 250-ml erlenmeyer flasks ($5 for both, I've bought them in bulk for about that before, new). Since I'd be paying for shipping, I'm somewhat undercutting the prices I'm finding online, but not by much.

As far as the filtering flask, that's just a heavy-duty erlenmeyer with a vacuum adapter, to be hooked up to a buchner funnel, correct? Do you have any other accessories that go with that? What about stoppers for the flasks?

I can't edit my original post anymore, here is an update of what's still available:

Chemicals

Glassware

Here is a pic of the glassware (sorry for poor quality, my camera is broken so I had to use a phone):
