Hello , im new to this forum. I joing because im about to make Acetone Peroxide and Hexamethylene triperoxide diamine to use them for blasting caps.
After a lot ready i saw that the most of people dont really want to mess up with peroxides because they are too sensitive. What should i use for

I read it again. You want to use peroxide as the primary in a casing? I'm no energetic a guy, but I figured i would use lead azide, mercury fulminate,
or diazodinitrophenol, since they are relatively easy to make, and the needed supplies are reachable.
Try something that won't kill you in such a small margin of error.

I would never combine a secondary with an organic peroxide, such as is done in some initiators.
Also, please elaborate more on your interests in ANFO and det coord. Is ANFO the only thing you are able to access, or does it have a particular use
in mind?

Im from Greece , i dont actually need to use it somewhere. I just love explosives and explosions. I though of AP and HMTD cause they are easy to make
and also cheap and ANFO too. Im interested of making some DDNP but its harder to make. Also i would like to make some RDX cause its easy to make i

HMTD is much more reliable to handle then TATP. But the caveat is even with this you must be meticulous in your synthesis, and do quality control.
If you want to play in this field you need to do a great deal more learning befor starting in this as ONE mistake WILL

In my opinion peroxides get a bad rep mainly due to how easy to make and thus prolific they are.
It seems stupid people manage to maim and kill themselves with even the safest of explosives like smokeless powder, if lead azide and mercury
fulminate were as easy to make as TATP they too would have horrible reputations pertaining to their "unpredicable" nature.
Basically all primary explosives are dangerous and unstable by definition, *as far as primaries go* TATP is actually moderately friction and impact
sensitive with a high sensitivity to heat, in my experience HMTD is actually more sensitive to friction. Silver acetylide is the least sensitive
primary that's fairly easy to make that I can think of.
It takes a fairly powerful initiator to set off ANFO, a pencil sized cap isn't close to being big enough. You need a booster like 50 grams of powdered
AN/Al 85/15 or something to get anything more than a partial det.woelen - 9-5-2016 at 23:27

You say that you want to do RDX? I am just getting in to EMs like you are, and I am starting with perchloric acid distillation! This sounds worryingly
like a Phone incident waiting to happen.

I haven't started yet. I will start with perchloric acid distillation when I get a Liebig condenser setup. This is a more long term project...
