I am looking for a container which can be used to make an in-line filter with either filter-paper/fabric or chemical agent (drying). To make a filter
roll/tube a wide mouth (same size as containter) is ideal but I need to be able to screw the lid on and off ideally (to make it reusable) otherwise
PVC/CPVC pipe can be used. A hose barb will be glued onto the lid and the bottom of the container/jar.
IDK if there are any prescription bottles that fit this bill or not, my pharmacy doesn't use screw on.
I have found some low-price spice containers that have a mouth wider than the body and it is plastic so that may work.
Can anyone think of any containers that would work for this?

A jam jar won't work?
It is possible to buy a drill bit that will go through glass.
Glue on your attachments with epoxy putty.
