5-hydroxytetrazole ??

iloveloli - 29-3-2016 at 05:48

well

i can't get any Guanidine.... so i decide to use urea

First, 5-hydroxytetrazole is exist. (i can find it on Chemspider)

my question is if it can be synthesis by mixing semicarbazide and NO+

like the reaction of aminoguanidine and NO+ ...... to form 5-Aminotetrazole

i saw the mechanism of forming 5-Aminotetrazole in wiki

https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%9B%9B%E5%94%91 ( i am sorry about that it is chinese, but English don't have the mechanism)

i think semicarbazide will be the same

am i right??

please forgive my poor English:)

I'm guessing they would tell you if semicarbazide worked. As it is I'm guessing that semicarbazide + N2O3 reaction produces carbamyl azide, possibly trimerizing to cyanuric acid and hydrogen azide -- although it may simply produce a loud noise and a lot of smoke, instead.
