(CH3)2CO + HCl ---> (CH3)2CO + HCl

Thanks, informative thread.

I have searched a little and found that a mixture of peroxide, hcl and acetone gives acetone peroxide. Also replacing hcl with h2so4 will do the trick. Not sure about hcl&acetone. (from the obtained results).

I'm a noob, I'm not an expert in chemistry btw, but I think that hcl&acetone may give a solvent of some kind

Keep the peroxide away from the acetone -- at least until you know what you are doing.

It goes bang -- with enough force to remove digits or embed glassware into flesh.
