For the reaction of Formic acid(aq) and hydrogen peroxide(aq) to form performic acid(aq), What type of reaction is this?
I get so far that both hydrogen peroxide and formic acid are both acids to each on their own degree and dissociate hydrogen in water but I'm pretty
much stopped at that point with the conjugate bases and conjugate acids after they both dissociate to different degrees with equilibrium constants.
But I can't figure out how it becomes performic acid, I think it's because I don't know which reaction type it is. Knowing which reaction type will
probably help me figure out the mechanisms, which is my goal.
