Some i got by chance, most of them order from big companies. I got negotiated prices from Sigma, Merck, Alfa, etc.

Please wait a little time guys. To get reagents is the beginning, not everyone uses them at once, after a time when you want do some experience a quality, purity reagent comes out then maybe some experienced users will write a comment that is objective and does not smell "shilly" to others, guy write a comment i probably knew who is it and what's he ordered but i don't have need to share that with others, i agree with his opinion and that's it and of course thanks for the comment man.

When it is cheap - bad when price too high - he is crazy bad, always bad, some do not know the basics of economics, how do I get 1l acetone for 6.70 EUR and sell for 10EUR per liter and earn 3,3EUR is using, the buyer have cheap product I have earnings, this is my last statement on this issue, users with more than six post maybe in time can give their views.

Can argue with selling on SM though - this target market is really small.

I'd have to be selling around 160L a day to make that viable, and there simply are not enough customers here.

I agree. I won't mention what I ordered but it was cheap and almost impossible to get here in the US. So I'm going to check it out and report back to you guys about the quality of his chemicals. I should have it hopefully by the end of this week or early next week.

Well, I'm not exactly a long time member here, but I have bought some of mario840's somewhat exotic chemicals, not acetone or the like, and my experiences are as follows:

- Pleasant and fast communication
- Shipping to an EU country took about 3 days, and I got a tracking number before asking for it
- The goods had been packaged well and arrived in pristine condition
- I've only tested one of the chemicals so far, but it is genuine

Personally I'm very pleased with my deal, I got some nice things that I can't easily buy as a private person, and I got it at a (to me) very fair price.

Although the prices per gram are generally very good, often the amounts are too large to be attractive.

Phosphomolybdic acid for example is an excelllent alkaloid detection reagent, but 100 g is an enormous amount for a reagent used drop-wise. Even 10 g would be a lifetime supply.

I got exactly what I asked for, albeit with labels in what I think is Polish.

My order was packaged very thoughtfully and carefully and survived the post office's every attempt to kill it. Seriously, the box showed up split in half (Thanks, USPS :/ ) , but everything inside was still safely bubble wrapped and totally undamaged.

I must say that mario840 is now my source for harder to obtain reagents, or anything that he happens to be able to supply cheaper than I can get otherwise. Shipping to the USA/East Coast is extremely cheap and packaged well. Pretty much anything I have thought of asking for he either has, or has been able to procure and ship in an extremely short turnaround.

As the guy above said--extremely friendly and polite!

The postal service decided to take a holiday during business hours for almost 2 weeks, and he was able to answer the questions from my several emails asking what is up with my package, and did so in a very patient and helpful manner. In the end all packages have arrived in good shape, good quality (that I have tested so far), and as promised. Very professional!

I am working on another order with him, and plan to continue to do so.

I have a feeling he will own my paycheck before its all said and done.

Another successful order received from mario840. The issues I experienced last time were non-existant, and he even seems to have started using better packaging material. The box looked like it had been beaten to dead last time, and luckily he had used a lot of tape. In fact, the time taken to get the package from his door to mine was rediculously short, just a few days, as I can't recall exactly at this time. The last time I waited probably around two weeks with most of the time spent waiting in customs, but this time it was only there a few hours before it continued on its way.

The prices are good. He has very good access to a wide range of chemicals, and I believe there has only been one where he didn't have a source.

Received my shipment today, the box looked awful and was literally falling apart when I received it bc the mailman left it in the rain uncovered, but that's not mario's fault. Regardless everything was packaged very well, undamaged, and exactly as described, I'm sure it could have been thrown in a pool and not cared. I had another order with mario840 come through as expected. Very well packaged and always polite to deal with.

The range of chemicals he has available for purchase is impressive. As numos said, some chemicals are expensive, however, with some of the suppliers that I have accounts with he is by the cheapest with a large number of reagents. I was corresponding with a supplier that wanted to charge around $150 for a chemical, and then wanted to charge $230 on top of that for shipping--mario840 had it for cheaper!

How hard would it be to get ahold of a 4-vinylpyridine-based ion exchange resin? Like this:

That is a great price on a kilo or red P. if it were just a matter of spending the money I would place an order in two seconds.

I have just been working on my element collection, and wrestling with the problem of where to get elemental phosphorus. Thanks to the crackdown by the DEA, and the idiot meth cooks, the stuff is completely banned in America for all intents and purposes. Scoring smack on the street is easier (I imagine). Other than getting it as part of a set of element sample for several hundred bucks from Metallium, I do not know of a source for any amount however small.

I just posted in fact some ruminations about a production scheme on the venerable phosphorus thread, inspired my quest for the elements, before seeing this last offer.

With a kilogram of phosphorus you could do some actual phosphorous chemistry!

However, I worry about the wisdom of trying to order it. My understanding is that when chemicals get intercepted by customs (which has yet to happen to me), it simply gets confiscated. I suspect that might be different for so much phosphorus.

Currently, I am awaiting arrival of my order and will update when it arrives but up until this point Mario has been nothing short of amazing. He promptly replies, is only to willing to help and was up to 60% cheaper than the suppliers here in Australia. I know my order hasn't arrived but given the way he has conducted himself throughout our transaction and his business with others (based on other users posting contained within this thread) I would have no problems recommending him to any one, in particular any Aussie's, who is sick to death of being treated like criminals when attempting to buy chemicals for non-commercial uses!

My new hobby, home chemistry brought me to this forum. It’s impossible to buy reagent grade chemicals in my country. I searched for a few harmless chemicals for several weeks without luck. One of the big companies finally explained to me that their license does not permit them to sell to individuals, only companies. It doesn’t matter if the chemicals are classified as precursors or whatever.

Just wanted to share my experience about a recent transaction i did with mario. I contacted him via email, and he replied back within an hour...very suprising. I told him what items I was trying to acquire....within an hour he emailed me a list with pricing. I needed to change the amounts of some of the items I wanted, so i emailed him and within an hour he adjusted all the pricing. I think you get my point here, his customer service is exceptional and just the best ive ever encountered. So I placed my order, sent him the funds and that was it. So simple and easy. He quoted me a two week lead time, because it would take that long for him to acquire the items. He got all the items quicker than I anticipated...about 11 days, next day after he got them, he shipped them....with tracking. After he shipped my items took approximately 9 days to arrive. And I just received them yesterday and really just couldnt be happier. Another huge bonus was his choice of stealth for the shipping. I wont divulge his tactics but suffice it to say they are more than adequate and actually very clever. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be my one and only go to supplier from now on. To anyone out there that is gonna try to hate on this message go right ahead. I dont really care cause right now i have some real quality chemicals that are difficult to acquire in my country, and you are probably in your garage rubbing sticks together trying to make lava come out of your kids science fare experiment. Make sure you put that puppy in a fume hood cause I hear the reaction between sodium bicarbonate and apple cider vinegar is a real doozy. Really nasty fumes too...lol. Are you able to supply either cinnamic anhydride, or cinnamyl chloride/bromide/iodide?
Any of the halides are acceptable, save of course fluorides.

if so would be very interested in both either the halide or anhydride, and some butyryl chloride/bromide/iodide, preferably the chlorides or anhydrides.

Two things about me-I with only the most over the top exceptions, rarely deal in implications. And 2-I have severe anterograde amnesia. Living with it is a nightmare. Often enough only a promise made and word given to somebody who means a lot to this user keeps him alive. He's come way too close way too many times.
