I want to make aniline from indigo. There 2 methods for this.in first method destructive distillation of indigo is performed but in 2nd method KOH
and indigo are mixed .so i want to know does distillation also required in 2nd method?
And i also want to know that what are the products in both reactions.

Do you have any links to those two procedures ?
Distillation is generally a great thing to be able to do, as it is useful for many experiments.
Whether you distill water out of it or not, it's going to smell horrible !

This is the link-
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aniline
But on this there is not much information about procedure.

Yes, there isn't a great deal of info there.
It says that "Fritsche 'treated' indigo with KOH ... and obtained an oil ..."
If you have Indigo and KOH, do a few small scale experiments (test tube size) to find the best procedure.
All you're looking for is an isolatable oil that stinks of dead fish.
Distillation will be for purifying it.
