nitro methane is or is not the same as Tetranitromethane?
also if I were to use h2so4 and Kno3 without distilling, would the Kso4 affect the product?
certain paint solvents use a mix of toulene, methanol, benzene.

It is not the same; nitromethane is CH3NO2, whereas tetranitromethane is C(NO2)4.

The K2SO4 would not affect the product, however, without distillation, you will not be able to obtain the nitric acid.
