Playing card ink

Hello everyone was just fiddling around with my deck of cards and a question popped in my head about what is the ink or paint made up of? Can anyone help.

Most cards used to be coated with nitrocellulose, and the red ink used to contain nitrocellulose.

according to
http://www.madehow.com/Volume-4/Playing-Cards.html
the ink is oil based
the actual coloring in the ink is almost definitely different for each manufacturer (though there's a good chance the red ink is colored with iron oxide)
the cards are made from many layers of plastic glued together or plastic (usually PVC) and according to wikipedia the cards are coated in a cellulose film
