ive decided to compile a list of common chemicals used in rockets and fireworks and such. i'll be updating it frequently, feel free to add on.
Potassium Nitrate (Salt Peter) - KNO3 - Commonly found in walmart as Stump Remover. check the label, there are some that arent potassium. the green
bottle of stump remover made by Spectracide is 98% Potassium Nitrate. its $5 for 1lb though.
Sodium Nitrate (Salt Peter) - NaN03 - pretty much the same thing as above.
Iron Oxide (Rust) - Fe2O3 - scrape it off of tools in your garage, or make it with a small DC power supply, saltwater, 2 nails, and a container. the
negative electrode will be the one with the rust. scrape it off, bake it, crush it, and use it.
