Hello l have made about 7 ml of liquefied chlorine gas but now l need to store it, but l don't know how to store it so can you suggest how to store it
without metallic cylinder?Pok - 29-12-2014 at 07:59
Thick-walled glass ampoule. Seal it with bunsen burner when the chlorine is well below its boiling point. Amos - 29-12-2014 at 08:00
That and use the search engine next time.forgottenpassword - 29-12-2014 at 09:56
I've seen similar things cast into a block of Perspex. Perhaps you could do something similar?Oscilllator - 29-12-2014 at 18:03

Sounds like a good idea to me. Removes the chance of a nasty accident on a hot summers day. There are clear resins you can buy that set rock hard in a
room temperature process.diddi - 29-12-2014 at 21:13
your ampoule will need to withstand around 10 atm at typical house temperatures. I am hoping to produce liq Cl some time soon, when I get a bit
organised. note there are several threads about Cl production techniques fyi
