If a person were to hypothetically order some of this stuff off a very popular online auction site, what are the chances that they would get hounded
by the DEA? The intended use is soapmaking and perfumery/fragrance research, but would there still be a problem for an individual to order such a
substance? Probably this person would order 16oz or so.

Well assuming the ebay auction isn't some DEA sting operation (or whatever the fancy term for someone setting a trap) you might be able to get it
without to much crap. But I would personnaly wait for more opinions. I don't know how the DEA works as well as others might know.

If your not doing anything illegal then just order it unless sassfras oil is some kind of forbidden chemical in your state.

Yeah... sure it is.... they stopped using sassafras oil in fragrances a while back due to the carcinogenic activity of safrole, know all u buy is the
oil that has had the safrole removed anyway...
But sure, you can order it, but when they come knowcking they better only find soap making equiptment, have a single distilling flask or any chemical
other than those used in soaps (ie KOH) in the house and your screwed.

As long as you don't order a big amount you will be fine. Some places require a DEA form some companies don't, depends on the state in which the
buisness is in.
