energetic materials with the flouro atom

Madandcrazy - 1-2-2006 at 08:33

I have a idea preparing energetic materials maybe with the
flouro atom or in cycloaddition.

Example:
1,3-propanediamin is nitarted with HNO3 and than pocessed with H2SO4
the filtrate 3-nitro-1,3-propanediamin is flourinated to 3-flouro-3-nitropropanediamin
the 3-flouro-3-nitropropanediamin is reakted with 1,3-dichloroethane ;) in a specifically solvent
(for instance in carbon tetrachloride, paraldehyde or other solvents) to a nitofluroderivat.

Fluorinating agents are either hard to handle, hard to acquire, or both. This would only be accessible to those with access to the appropriate facilities, I'm afraid. Not too practical.

Besides, what makes you sure only one amino group will be nitrated? 1,3-dichloroethane also happens to be a pretty decent solvent so what's your point?

Your posts seem to be on the rambling side lately...

I don`t want rambling side lately any tread. I mean the suggestion in connection with the trad about different halogens for an useful energetic material.

Im not sure one amino group is nitrated, i mean
bothsides too how is subtituted a nitro group to the carbon beside a halogen or a nitrogen atom (or NH2) in connection with the thraed about different halogens.

NH2-CH2-CFNO2-CH2-NH2
or more easy
NH2-CHNO2-CHF-CHNO2-NH2

contingently too
Cl-CH2-Br, CH2(NO2)2 ;) and NH2-CHCl-CFNO2-CHB-NH2
can be exploit for a cycloaddition
