And how can you relate chloroform and dichloromethane? They are in the same class and have completely different effects. Benzene is a carcinogen
because of the metabolic pathway, but replace one of the hydrogens with a bromine atom and it ceases to be a carcinogen. You can't compare the
carcinogenic properties of even the most similar molecules can have different effects. Even enantiomers can have opposing carcinogenic properties.
