Does anyone know the combination of gases that explode when strong light hits them? IIRC it was two elemental gases, but I jsut can't remember
which ones.Axt - 3-12-2005 at 08:17

Is there any minimal level of knowladge in chemistry needed for posting here?
what about the "beginers" forum?kazaa81 - 3-12-2005 at 09:34

Actually, fluorine will explode with hydrogen in the dark at low temperatures.Douchermann - 3-12-2005 at 11:27

I knew what they were, I just forgot. I wasn't planning on trying it, it's just been bugging me for about a month and a google search
didn't show up with anything. Thank you to all who didn't make a comment like that.stricnine - 27-12-2005 at 18:19
Added to that, fluorine will kill you if you breathe it. That's what happened to the first guys who synthesised F2. In those days things had to be
smelled and "tasted". We still do the same in many occasions...
