Hello everyone.
I was recently doing a bit of electrolysis of sulfate salts. But I didn't manage to clean up before I went on vacation, and my mom must have
confused my apparatus and chemicals, and decided to clean them up her own way.
Anyway, when I came back, I somehow had a tin can electrolysizing in a solution of sodium chloride. There was a strange bluish/green/brown buildup on
the stainless steel cathode I was using. I was wondering what the build up was, and does it reflect what the tin can is made up? I never knew
whether they were actually tin or just tin-plated steel.

Sounds like Fe(OH)2 (gren/blue) and Fe(OH)3 (brown/orange)
