If a side chain has an OH on the end of it, is it considered an Enol?

An enol is an alkeno-alcohol. Any alkene with an alcoholic functional group could be technically be considered an enrol, but the term is almost always
used to refer to what would be a conjugated system if you reduce the alcohol to a carbonyl.

thank you for that clarification.
Now if -OH an Alcohol and a strong base and poor leaving group does that mean that Acids are the opposite and Donating groups?
