I been trying to figure out how this is done.
Seems like there is a reaction using Al/Hg and nitromethane, but there is very information on actually doing this?
Could someone help me formulate a synthesis?

have you worked out a synthesis yet? i've been working on it, but it always seems to be so close yet so far away.
