buying ammonium chloride

I am looking for a place to buy around 25Kg of NH4Cl for cheap (less than $1 / Kg)

I dont think that you will be able to find it that cheap, here is a link for a few dollars a kilo http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ammonium-Chloride-50-lb-Bag-/1210600.... What are you using that for anyway?

NH4Cl is formed by metathesis when a mix of ammonium nitrate and NaCl is heated and may be recovered as sublimate . . .

But ammonium nitrate is harder to get than ammonium chloride . . .

It's also formed in the reaction between ammonia and hydrochloric acid, both of which are easier to get (at least for me).

If I had to guess, I would assume that the OP wants it for bulk ammonia generation, so ammonium nitrate would be equally useful (albeit higher molar mass).

Thanks guys.
In China NH4Cl is a by-product from making Na2CO3.
By-produced chemicals can be cheap if you find the right place.
