Can some one please tell me what they are (covalent, polar covalent, or ionic) I tried looking on the net but I wasn't able to find it.

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, MgSO4. Magnesium sulfate is an ionic compound but the sulfate ion has polar covalent bonds between the sulfur and
the oxygens.
This could have easily been found by searching. Which is what you will have to do to find out about mineral oil.

just to clarify though when i said mineral oil i didn't mean this kind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mineral_oil I meant the kind you get in bottles and is also sometimes called baby oil I belive. so if someone could
possible tell me where I can find the make up of that please tell me.

Go to google. then type in "mineral oil." the first hit is a msds for mineral oil. What browser are you using?

Correct me if i am wong, but isn't mineral oil a mixture, not a compound/solution.
If it consists mostly of hydrocarbons and their derivatives (as i would expect), then you would expect covalent molecular bonding.
Do your own homework
