Hi All

How In the past Befor 1930

produces the ammonia NH3

by decomposition of animal and vegetable waste

So...your point is??

NH3 can be made out organic material, indeed. Bacteria can use organic material (urea is a good one) and produce HN3.

But....do you want to know how they made NH3 before 1930 industrailly, or do you want the know the biological proces?

i need the old processing

read this

www.worldhistory.com/wiki/a/ ammonia.htm

ammonia was obtained by the dry distillation of nitrogenous vegetable Urine and animal products

how can make this processing

In fact such process was carried out. The ammoniacal product extracted was known as 'Sal Volatile Oleosi'. Unfortunately I know nothing how such a process was carried out and neither what the resulting salts are, except that the majority contain ammonium ions.
