How do halohydrins react in the presence of sulfuric acid? Does the halogen leave or does the OH leave? Or is it mixed?

This really sounds like homework help. Why don't you take an educated guess, and explain your reasoning, and then we can help you from there?

I believe that in the presence of H2SO4, an elimination reaction will occur in which the OH group leaves to form an alkene. I say OH is the leaving
group because it is larger in size than the halogen.
