Porous (e)PTFE tube hunting

Funkerman23 - 19-7-2013 at 22:33

after reading the Best tubing thread I've been on the hunt for Porous Teflon tubing for my and our assorted uses. After searching through eBay, amazon and other places the only possible lead I've found is from Alibaba : http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/485695604/Porous_PTFE_tubi...
I've found vascular graft tubing on ebay but this isn't what is needed. But while I am looking; is there interest here for ePTFE tubing for filtering/ gas diffusion here? I'll keep looking but if anyone else has ideas or might be interested in some as well I'll try and post back when I find something that is more info. Comments Ideas and suggestions are always welcome as usual.

I'd certainly be interested if you find something. I posted a link to a youtube video on using porous PTFE tubing for gas diffusion purposes. I recently bought a gas diffusion tube from Wilmad-Labglass (made of glass), and it wasn't super cheap. Then I saw the video, which made me think there might be cheaper alternatives. You might be able to ping the author of the video.

The tubing seen in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVJ-WBe9AnE that was mentioned in the Best tubing thread was and is sold by http://www.ozonesolutions.com/ . the actual product that was featured in the video is here http://www.ozonesolutions.com/products/Ozone-Injection-Devic... I don't know if they will sell to individuals but I have made an account with them and will see at some date if it is possible. I will keep looking for expanded ptfe( ePTFE) tubing sources but the above is a start.

I have a feeling highly porous teflon might not resist ozone as well as solid bulk teflon.
