It is a compilation of less common reactions in organic chemistry, potentially useful. I found it interesting to read about these obscure reactions.

Sorry, but these reactions are all very common and every organic chemist knows (neary) all of these reactions and has performed a lot of them by himself. This is a list of the most common reactions in organic chemistry, not of obscure ones!
The title says "This is a quick reference for common reactions used in the rare chemical synthesis."
"Rare chemicals" or "fine chemicals" are chemicals, that are produced in limited volumes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fine_chemical)...has nothing to do with a "rare reaction".

I'm glad you got to him first, Heuteufel.

Anders, maybe you should pick up a decent book sometime. You'll see these reactions used all the time.

......however, it is a good pictorial summary of many reactions that are well known and some that are used not as frequent....for that I thank you for your grain of sand to our armament of information to which we all contribute and appreciate...solo
