Hey everyone, i need a new (not used) vacuum trap for under 60 dollars, any help would be appreciated.

But it doesnt say what tubing size it will take.

Are you totally opposed to the idea of a used one? It's not like they "go bad" unless they are broken.
If not, this is a very nicely priced (bidding-wise) Ace Glassware trap. I love ace glassware mainly because they are an American manufacturer, but
also because the quality is fantastic, even for used equipment.

What kind of a seal does that have? Most I've seen use ground glass.
It may be perfectly OK, but I would feel more confident with a ground glass seal.
I agree about buying used on eBay, Dr Bob, etc.

The one he has listed is a one piece setup, which makes for difficult emptying of solvent. I agree with magpie, ground glass is more expensive, but
much more convenient.
The ebay one I edited the link in above uses Ace threaded connections, which are efficient as well.

I have lots of used (and even a few new) US made vacuum traps for sale. Some are pictures in the links below, but I have others as well, a few even
new ones. One and two piece, ground glass, spherical joints and more, most are $20-30, the bigger or more complex being the more expensive ones. I
also have a large number of Dewar flasks for cooling the traps, I would give discount for buying both parts at once, plus the shipping costs are
real, not inflated like some vendors.
Juts let me know what type you want and what tubing size you are trying to use, and I can let you know what I have. most are for tubing from 1/4 to
5/8, the larger ones are commonly used right before a large vacuum pump, and the bigger the tubing, the better the vacuum pulls. The most common
sizes are 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8".

PS on the Ace fittings, the seal depends on the O-rings, if they get damaged, swollen, or nicked, they are shot. But that price is good, as the
fittings themselves sell new for $25 each. But that is a large trap, 2" diameter.
