Is Solidified carbon dioxide molecular solid or covalent solid ?
O = C = O

To my knowledge, it is molecular. It's not like a diamond in that the atoms are bonded together, which is a common example of a covalent solid, it is
a bunch of CO2 molecules that are held together by van der Waals forces.

It's a school example of a molecular solid, just like iodine.
