I downloaded another backup of the board's database today. Uncompressed, it's 54 megabytes. A backup from 4 months ago is 30 megabytes. In
the last 4 months the cumulative amount of text posted to this site has almost doubled. Amazing!

Does that include linked pictures in posts?
Hmmm...

It doesn't include linked pictures, but attachements may be stored in the DB itself. Maybe things aren't quite as astounding as I thought.

Hmm, perhaps it should? It would be bad if a linked site went down...

is it in form of html file<b>s</b>? or just text? I ask cause the htm files I have collected is more than 51 Mb (just the htm files) and
I don't think I have THAT much percentage of the board's database

It's in the form of text plus (I guess) any uploaded attachments. The HTML is generated dynamically and of course takes up quite a bit more
space, since additional markup code is generated for each thread.
