I have seen uranium and thorium compounds such as uranyl nitrate, uranium acetate, thorium sulfate and so on, offered for sale on eBay, although the
prices have been pretty ridiculous.
Does anyone know a company/person who sells those for a cheaper price (and ships internationally)? I have those been sold for adequate prices, but
unfortunately no international shipping.
I've also heard that actual metal samples are offered for sale too, have anyone purchased those and possesses any information about the size and price
of a sample (probably a few hundred dollars for a few grams)?

There is a great seller on ebay. You may know of him already. He synthesises and sells a lot of very interesting compounds, with different compounds
being available at different times. He also has an impressive list of others that are not listed on ebay available if you ask him. He's a very
knowledgeable chemist and very willing to answer questions and provide information.
Here is a link to his current items:

alchimiste5804's stuff is expensive because the stuff he/she sells is heavily manipulated. It takes a lot of time and work to grow such large
crystals. If you need something nice for a collection, that's the kind of stuff you want, but if you need the material only, keep looking.

Yes, I've meant those seller's items when I said "ridiculously expensive". And without doubt I would like to own own one of those crystals, but I
can't allow myself to spend that much...
So I would prefer buying the material itself (as cheaply as possible), and growing my own crystals.

Yes, those are certainly more for collection. Very nice, high quality products, though - well worth the price for the intended purpose. I thought you
may have seen those ones, but figured I'd give the link, anyway. I'm also wondering where such compounds could be obtained at lower prices for use
rather than collection.
