Hi guys,
I was recently reading an article on wiki and i came upon a chemical called Diacetyl Peroxide(C4H6O4) and read about its explosive decomposition hazards, can someone please shed me some light about the substance?

Synthesis: Acetyl chloride + BaO2

Don't make it, it is dangerously sensitive.

First of all, i have no intention in making it, its just the natural curiosity of chemistry which makes me look up about unknown chemicals, so to say. I aint one of those damned teens who blow themselves up in making such unstable peroxides. Btw i did read ur older post on the topic. Do u know about its uses? :)

I doubt it have any. There are much more stable oxidants.
