Ammonium Molybdate

Hexavalent - 29-12-2011 at 11:37

Hello everyone

I need some Ammonium Molybdate for two purposes -

1. I am attempting a synthesis of copper phthalocyanine and need it as a catalyst

2. I want to do some tests for phosphate anions by mixing it with the sample and adding nitric acid

The procedure in the first instance calls for ammonium heptamolybdate, but I know the orthomolybdate is also around.

Firstly, what is this likely to be;

and secondly, can I use either form for phosphate testing?

Thanks:)

I recently purchased a kilo of this stuff, I'll gladly send you some cheap... Once it arrives to me :)
