Im new to the site and a newb to chemistry...but ive been studying and studying hard. I just need equiptment and someone to lead me in the right
directions for regeants to use....
if anyone can help me out or is intersted in being friends with me on this journey Id greatly appreciate it...Thanks for your time
and if you want to hit me up on aim please do my screen name is robertdwhitt88thegardenman - 21-5-2011 at 13:07

You should really give people more than one hour to reply to your topic. Also, it would be helpful if you state where you live and your intentions.
Organic chemistry is a wide subject, so what you want is unclear - do you want a study companion, a labmate, a mentor, or do you want some tips for
making meth as cheap as possible? I'm not judging you, I'm just throwing all the possibilities out in the open.
I don't have AIM, sorry.thegardenman - 21-5-2011 at 15:07
lol nah meth is totally out of the picture, Im just interested in simple synthesis and extractions, recrystallizations, etc...etc. More of a
companion/ mentor i guess you could say is what im looking for. Also im from ohio and am 23 years old and am just very interested in the world around
me....Hope that explains a little better.
Peace & <3

and about my post count lol i cant post much cause im newbie and cant help anyone, also i have zero lab equipment right now. UKnowNotWatUDo - 21-5-2011 at 15:33
Maybe you could try recrystallizations as a very simple experiment. Compare the solubilities of different salts in water at room temperature, then
compare how their solubilities change with increase in temperature. If you make hot saturated solutions you can bring the temp back down and see what
mass of crystals you can produce.thegardenman - 21-5-2011 at 15:43
I have no lab equipment at the moment. Thats what sucks man...m1tanker78 - 21-5-2011 at 16:14

In that case, your first lesson in chem can be resourcefulness.
I have zero lab equipment and get on ok with simple stuff. Solubility experiments mentioned above can easily be done in glass jars, for example. You
likely won't be starting off with toxic salts so you could even use drinking glasses. It's a start...

Growth hormones for plants perhaps?
NaClO3, besides being a weedkiller can be used to stimulate growth if used correctly . . .
And there's others!
Are you an Indica (cough) or Sativa (zoom), man?
thegardenman - 22-5-2011 at 10:40
haha i like ehm both but if i had to pick one out of the two it would be indica.... I normally like strains that are both indica and sativa. thanks
guys. hissingnoise - 22-5-2011 at 13:45
Yeah, variety's the spice - and if you're planting, put down as many strains as you can get.
Whether you go indoors or guerrilla depends on your climate . . .
Schwag may be shitty but if you get viable seeds from it you can cerebral buds, but those strains need time and patience!

I have a brother and we're both essentially organic.turd - 23-5-2011 at 13:50

Do you think you could tell the difference of the psychotropic effects under double blind conditions? (Serious question.)

Hmmm. Given that you're 50% water and 10 % bones, which in turn are 70% inorganics - you're less than half organic. Far from "essentially".Rogeryermaw - 23-5-2011 at 19:23

O-chemistry could also be oxygen chemistry
If you like Organic chemistry and O-chemistry then you might like biO-chemistry the chemistry of living beings (like all of us)
