My heating magnetic stirrer is no longer, and while I tried repairing it I’m looking for alternatives.
Does anyone know of the quality of Steinberg systems hotplate stirrers, and what about Froilabo?

Why not make it yourself? A heating element can be salvaged from an old electric kettle. An electromotor, magnets and 1 or 2 hours of work and you
have a magnetic stirrer which is superior to the ones sold at the shop. The temperature can be controlled by PID or simpler methods.

In general, DIY is ok for some people for some things,
I like cheap (mostly Chinese but some local, some Indian) stuff because;
It's cheap
Functional or I get a refund
Cheap enough to buy two (or more) instead of one
Or buy one that I thought met my needs,
- then buy a more suitable one.
Cheap enough to not cry when things don't quite go to plan.
But
For professional use I'd go with whatever is highly recommended in your field.
