I normally produce my nitric acid at 50% just due to the water content of my raw materials (magnesium nitrate and sodium bisulphate).
I know nitric acid is best stored in amber bottles but at 50% concentration would it be ok to store in clear glass?

You can use glass for any concentration.
If clear (or amber) glass is used then protect from long exposures to sunlight,
I keep mine in the dark.
The problem is usually the cap and/or the cap liner.
PVC 'cling film' over the mouth of the bottle before screwing the cap on seems to be ok.
Edit.. regarding the reply below :
I was kindly donated some ptfe cap liners by a member here,
Good, but I need to find a suitable glue to keep them from occasionally falling out.
(maybe not the perfect diameter for my bottles)

What I normally do is cut a circular piece of 0.5mm PTFE sheet and line the inside of my caps.
