Does it require only elemental Zn/Ni or complexes containing them instead?
I read on Wikipedia that must be don under high pressure (238-340 ATM!!)

CJ describes making 1-phenylethylamine. Is that what you want, or are you trying to make N-methylbenzylamine? That can be done by reductive amination
of benzaldehyde with methylamine and sodium borohydride.bluamine - 22-6-2022 at 08:17

Both are interesting but anyway, I'm more interested in N methylbenzylaminekarlosĀ³ - 22-6-2022 at 09:36
Reductive amination of benzaldehyde with methylamine then.
Straight forward and simple, high yielding likely too.
