Anyone know a source for genuine platinum on titanium electrodes?

itsallgoodjames - 26-11-2020 at 13:47

I ordered a "platinum on titanium" anode on eBay for my perchlorate cell, but it ran for a few minutes and I discovered it wasn't platinum. It got substantially damaged within minutes. Is there a source for genuine ones at a reasonable price?

Thanks!

Have a look at this thread

I purchased a titanium electrode and a platinum coated titanium electrode from this ebay seller and was very happy with the product. It has done many weeks of use and is still in top condition.
They do not have Pt electrodes at the moment, but probably worth asking them.

I am a supplier of platinum group metals: pt,pd,Au,Ag.
I can do very competitive prices. I can't get electrodes
But I can supply thin flatplate (~0.5mm thick flat squares)
which would be good for an electrode. I can also supply
thin wire or rod form.Contact me if you're still
looking for some.
