I suggest that you use your $10000 to prepare yourself for the impending economic turmoil.
Food, water, physical security etc.
or a small boat to escape in
or a kick-ass 'end of the world as we know it' party
I would probably be inclined to buy equipment, as chemicals can be bought later as required at relatively small costs.
Ideally you could set up a small business for yourself.

That is about two year salaries in China, just expect mass inflation. You won't be able to buy much chemicals with that amount of money after that.

I'd definitely buy some cyclopentanol from Aldrich... haha
If I had this much money I would rather spend it on equipment, that's what I did with my 7200 tuition this year

Correction: not every citizen, only 18 year old above citizens

I've been allowed to work throughout this pandemic, and I'm thinking of using half of my $1200 (United States) on a high end magnetic stir hot plate,
vacuum pump, and cold trap. Maaaaybe an overhead stirrer if it's in the budget. It's not often that I have to throw more than $50 down on a reagent,
so I'm not worried about obtaining a bunch of those right now.

for you in China I would save that money and convert it to hard ware that keeps you alive independent of the government the best you can.
Well advice I'd give to every one to be honest
