Good price for potassium bromide from a UK supplier so a quick delivery.

PS: Amazon uk has red P in stock again at about £91 for 1kg expensive and not as fun as the white but not as nasty.

It is if I only needed say 100g but I am certain I will find other uses for the rest eventually. Actually I only paid £78 inc postage possibly from a different seller. At £91 it would have been over my limit for it.

£15 for a kg red P would have been even better than the bromide.

Good quality red P is 50 to 60 euros per kg.
I am wary of buying it from really cheap sources, cheap red P tends to contain quite some white P and then it is very dangerous stuff, which can self-ignite on handling (e.g. transferring it to another container, or when taking some out of its container). Some yeras ago one user on sciencemadness had a very nasty accident with that.

See here: https://www.sciencemadness.org/whisper/viewthread.php?tid=12...

Let's continue with the subject of KBr in this thread and discuss red P in the other thread.
