you could start by already buying Ca(OH)2, slaked lime is sold in garden stores and in the costruction aisle of hardware stores. i bought a 5kg bag
for 4 euros.
this way you have already concentrated mixtures and you need much less work. if you don't need very pure NaOH just follow the stechiometry, do your
calculations, if you want to decide where to stop adding the solutions just by looking at the ph it's not going to be easy, they are all really basic
compounds, and universal ph paper is not sensitive enough to give you a definitive answer.
