That is a known high explosive! What about shipping? What sort of transport or courier firm would agree to carry it? Many (including postal services)
prohibit explosives. BTW, where are you located?

As per ATF regulations, Ammonium Perchlorate is only classified as an explosive if its particle size is the less than 15 microns. If it is has a
greater particle size than 15, it can be shipped as a 5.1, which is just a normal oxidizer and therefore can go by UPS ground, up to a certain
quantity. The only time this is not true is if the manufacturer specifies it as an explosive during the sale, rather than as an oxidizer. And even if
it is a high explosive, from what I understand of Ammonium Perchlorate, it's doesn't just detonate if you drop it the wrong way like many other high
explosives do, it requires more energy.

Ammonium Perchlorate is the propellant of the space shuttle
solid boosters. The only incident that has occured with it was
the Morton Thiokol plant explosion where it was made , and
that was a sympathetic detonation of hundreds of tons.
The material itself is not much more sensitive than NH4NO3.
the partical size observation is true of any energetic material
which are more easily ignited by static electricity as a fine
powder. Container quantity also matters for incidental costs
incurred. For example a gallon jug of nitromethane incurs a
hazmat fee , 4 quart containers shipped as a package do not.

NH4ClO4 is readily available from online suppliers of small lots
of such materials. Cheaply made and available in bulk from
chinese manufacture , domestic retailers can pass on the cost
to their buyers. Composition varies from 99 % or better pure
dry product to blends containing anti caking ingredients
suitable for pyro use. I have seen $ 3.50 to $ 7.00 a pound.

Sorry guys the place that incorrectly sent me the NH4ClO4 agreed to return it for the chem i originally wanted, i was gonna sell it if they didnt
agree to return it because i have no use for it.
